Our members along with volunteers from the community sponsor various activities throughout the year to promote fellowship, entertainment, social awareness, and the history of Camp Butner. We strive to make our community a better place to work and live. Find out how you can contribute to the BCA organization through donations of money and time as a member or volunteer.

OUR MISSION

The main focus of the BCA is to promote social involvement within the Butner area community and to offer opportunities of service and programming for the benefit and advancement of the local citizens. The long-term goal is to increase the availability and quality of community events and services that will further bring the community together and provide a richer quality of life that many other communities already enjoy.

A HISTORY OF MAKING A DIFFERENCE

The Butner Community Association (BCA) was originally formed in 1994 as the Butner Citizens Planning Ahead (BCPA) organization before the Town of Butner was incorporated. The BCPA organization operated for 20 years as a driving force for community involvement and sponsored numerous events such as the Butner Chicken Pickin' and Meet the Candidates. In 2015, the name was changed to BCA and the tax status evolved from a 501(c)(4) non-profit to a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization. As a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, donations to BCA are now considered as charitable contributions for federal income tax purposes.

LOOKING FORWARD

The main focus of the BCA is to promote social involvement within the Butner area community and to offer opportunities of service and programming for the benefit and advancement of the local citizens. The long-term goal is to increase the availability and quality of community events and services that will further bring the community together and provide a richer quality of life that many other communities already enjoy.
